MoneyWorks® has several editions — Cashbook, Express, Gold, and Datacentre — each with different feature sets. Understanding which files each edition can open avoids surprises when sharing or migrating data.

Version compatibility
Files from an older version of MoneyWorks® can be opened in a newer version — the file will be upgraded automatically. You cannot open a newer-format file in an older version of MoneyWorks®.
Important: Once a file has been opened and upgraded to a newer format, it cannot be downgraded. Always keep a backup before upgrading your software.
